Wherein I get long winded and grossed out and thrilled.
My review is here at my journal".
Title: It's Not So
Pairing: House/Cam...maybe
Rating: T
Disclaimer: Yeahno, I don't own House M.D.
Summary: House wakes from a coma to find a Head Honcho Foreman, Secretive Wilson, Same Cuddy, Single Surgeon Chase, and a Pregnant Cameron. Only problem is, he doesn't remember the months leading up to the coma.
A/N: Ah, yes, the House coma bit has been done before, right? I have taken some liberties with the coma aspect of the story since, well...this is fanfic world, so please forgive me and try to go along with it. This story is also very slow to progress, so patience is truly a virtue. Memories are in italics.
Open the door.
Episode notes for The Seed are now up on my LJ.
Okay, so lately I've been feeling a little bored due to no House. I also have been increasingly frustrated by the lack of both Jennifer morrison and Jesse Spencer screentime on House. God forbid their acting talents are appreciated or noticed now a days. :( That said. I have been desperate to see Jen in something OTHER than public events-no offense she's drop dead stone cold fox. BUT last time I checked she was an actress-a smart one at that, NOT a media whore who's famous for nothing. That being the current scinario I have a crucial question of Jen's movie "Big Stan". I don't think it will hit theaters-the date already flew by. So this leads me to presume that it will hit DVD near late fall/christmas. Seriously-this movie has gotten more positive media attention in other countries (i think like 6) than here in the U.S.. Someone posted on IMDB that she/he already saw it and it was good. :S Never hit any theater near me. So I am hopeful of DVDs . If anyone has any official knowledge of what is going down, please post. That said I can't wait for Jen in "Table for Three" and "Star Trek". :) And here is a gift if anyone missed it *stills of Jen from Big Stan*: NOT mine-all credit to jennifermorrisonfan.com :)

I went on the Warner Brothers tour today and was surprised to see a couple of Superantural goodies.
First, they show you a film covering the history of Warner Brothers. They showed two clips from Superantural - one was a vampire ep, I think (it goes by so quick) and the other was the In My Time of Dying when they're both looking into the room to see Dean dying.
Next, in the auto museum is a photo of the guys in the Impala.
And finally -- there was a display in the WB museum right in there with Matrix and Cagney and the Maltese Falcon. It was funny because I walked right by the costumes and didn't see them. I was looking down at a long, glass case full of paper objects. My husband got there first and pointed and laughed and said, "Alligator in the sewer." I look and it's The Weekly World News! I say, hey, that's from Supernatural. That's when my husband nudges me and says, 'yeah, duh!"
I look up and here are maniquins dressed as Sam and Dean. Dean was in the navy jacket without the lining, a grey over shirt and black t with his necklace. Slightly flaired jeans and boots. And they were worn in spots.
Sam - shoot me here, I can't remember! (No photos allowed). Jeans and boots, a maybe tan jacket and my husband says the shirt was on the rosy side with a swirly, maybe tiny flower motif in pink. I was trying to comitt it to memory when they came to tell me the tour had to move on.
In the case was a variety of objects. The full page of obits from Bloody Mary with the dad's Obit circled. (the descriptions didn't have the episode names for all items, just descriptions, so doing my best from memory. ) Next was a page of the exoricism ritual torn out of the book Dean is reading in Sin City. Then a narrow torn out obit, I think of the professor in Tall Tales maybe? Or someone from Crossroad Blues. It was a man, a proffessor, that's all I remember. Next is a real blurr, some other written ritual I think and then the cover of the Weekly Word News.
All very cool. They didn't have any goodies in the store. The guy said they had them once and they sold out.
To anyone who has been fortunate enough to meet Hugh Laurie I have to ask: Are his eyes really as startingly blue as they look on TV and in pictures (my icon being an example)?
I only ask because I think his eyes are quite gorgeous and some of the bluest I've seen outside my little nephew's and Cal Ripken Jr.
Thanks!
Looking for Stargate Atlantis characters (major or minor!) to come join the ones currently in this wonderful roleplaying community! Join John Sheppard, Ronon Dex, Katie Brown, Elizabeth Weir, and Chuck in loads of fun! (Also many SG-1 characters too). This is a great way to explore characters and see them grown.

10:33 PM 7/15/08 · A continued complaint from fans of the books was the the refusal to recast the actors for the movies is that they're progressively looking less and less like the kids they're supposed to be. I mean they've got like 2 more books to go as films not done yet, right? You really going to buy they're still young teens by the time they crank those out?
The reason I mention this is because this thought came to me at the same time friends were discussing the Harry Potter novels. See, in Heroes we've learned that Adam Pierson is immortal. The theory, put forth by Grandma Patrelli, is that healing so many times is what kicked off the retardation in aging and made him stop aging altogether...
...which is interesting seeing as he and Claire have the came power.
This may also be an issue with Peter at some point, though not as sure as it's not his primary ability, but the first thing Claire did when she learned her ability was what it was to keep testing the limits of it. That and the events that followed there where she was dying and coming back to life and healing massively in general probably means she's immortal now too.
Which means she's gonna stay the age she is forever...or until someone pulps her brain as that seems to be what does it. Problem is, depending on how long the series lasts, at some point the actor that plays Claire will no longer look as young as she currently does.
Similar to Babylon 5, Kring had it basically mapped out that the entire Heroes series had a specific beginning and ending. Anyone wanna clue me into when the ending is? How many chapters past "Villains" are there or is this the last one coming up?
( some spoilers from TV Guide )
Three more offerings this time, and stylistically all over the place, there's crack, there's angst, there's betting.

Summary: Rodney and Ronon are imprisoned in a horrible alien prison, John is left wringing his hands alone back in Atlantis. Or, ahem, something similar to that.
All the Walls Between Us Are All in My Mind - John/Rodney - Sensory Deprivation (Touch) - 2,650 words
Summary: Rodney has an encounter with an arrow, again. John has things on his mind.
Friendly Wager - John/Rodney/Ronon/Teyla - Sleepy/Unconscious - 2,550 words
Summary: It's time to show Teyla "the room". She really likes the big bed.

Title: Soldier, Scientist, Live a Lie and Fail to Die.
Pairing: Pre-Slash Sheppard/McKay
Rating: R
Word Count: ~3500 + links to multimedia (just some companion pictures).
Warning: Torture, violence, swearing, killing.
Notes: Just a concept-drabble, a prologue to a ridiculously bigger AU inside my head.
Disclaimer: Stargate: Atlantis, colon and all, does not belong to me.
Summary: Spies AU. Dr. McKay, brilliant military scientist is imprisoned in a top secret military complex. Sheppard, an operative deep undercover at the SGC, is sent to retrieve him.
‘Conspiring with enemies of homeworld security.’ That had been the falsified, confidential accusation.
‘Aiding and abetting terrorists in the creation of weapons of mass destruction.’ That had been what the SGC had told officials, in their sealed report.

What was with eljay last night eh? I could get onto people's pages and things, but to log in just ended in ultimate fail. Bad time for the internets, really. There were a number of sites that weren't loading/under 'system maintenance'. Riiight.

ic-journal-essay: "I hasten to add that the decision to publish is that of the editorial ctte. (Sound Ideas) so I cannot guarantee it. Also if the decision is made to go ahead it could be some months even into next year before it is published." Sounds cool to me. And 'hasten' is such an old man word, I dunno. It's just so not commonly used. So...academic.
Seen these ads, people? Makes me want to take an IQ test to confirm how much smarter I am than this lot! Sadly I can't find ads for other politicians, there was one of some child though. But hey, check this out. I love how Andy Warhol's IQ is the lowest on the list. And hah, Nicole Kidman, Arnold and Bill Clinton's IQs apparently aren't far off. I also found some other dumb site that states that Madonna had an IQ of 140. Lovely. And look, all them composers have really high IQs, which makes me feel like an utter failure as a musician (last time I took some online test mine was about 120 or something). Makes me want to take a *proper* IQ test now and I can't find one, which makes me sad. I *could* click on those ads, but that fine print that says 'subscription required' does not sound appealing.
Random notes on Friday night TV that's probably irrelevant to anyone else but me:
1. Elmo+Rove=a definite gay couple
2. Colin Firth does the 'gay man invisible slap thingy'...y'know, TEH HANDS. Hilarious. I'm pretty sure he's the sort of guy that would go both ways. Hmmm.
3. Jason Statham would turn gay for Robert Downey. In the Iron Man suit. Man, all you need is ONE movie. I was watching bits of Pirates of the Caribbean on Tv, and just noticed that Depp wasn't really THAT huge until that one movie. What the hell, man. Probably why The Actors was an excellent film, reveals the truth that the best actors don't get recognize, blah blah *random wank here*
4. John Barrowman was EXCELLENT on the Friday Night Project, and reminds me of Jack McFarland (Will & Grace). Except about 100000 times more good looking.
5. YAY DISTRACTION! I love Jimmy Carr. Nothing like fat naked people on here, and that rerun of Little Britain.
6. I love the concept and everything, but for some reason Modern Toss doesn't intrigue me much.
Right, I can't find a decent video for the song (yet. It's new ass) but Shihad's Jon Toogood looks so much like Jon Cusack in this, it's creeping me out.
-I find it amusing that everybody hates the new life.fm layout. Especially since I don't ever use it.
-FotC are nominated for THREE emmys, ftw! Who's the Peter Jackson now! BOOYAH!
-WARGH. About 90% of this F-list is dominated by raves about the new Dark Knight movie and I'm horrendously jealous.
-I remembered to update my other blog of nothingness. Just click on it so I can pretend I have money, and check out a picture of the legendary PYTHON BEER.
-Update on the potential-for-publishing-in-wanky-academ
-Wargh, I'm here because I should be reading instead.
