My trip to Salzburg ,pictures and tv shows aka Alcatraz...finally on air !
Yay, I just watched the first episode of Alcatraz, the new J.J Abrams drama/thriller tv show with Sam Neill and Jorge Garcia(Hurley from LOST) and I like it ! The story is interesting, there's mystery and action and I love Sam Neill like whoa. I used to be obsessed with Jurassic Park back when I was little, had it on tape and watched it at least once a week ,I had a slight crush on Sam Neill then and he's a class act, always liked him, I'm so happy he's on tv now omg !!!
So ,yeah other than that ..... I just came back from Salzburg, Austria. I went there last week with a friend of mine and it was lots of fun although it was my 4th or 5th time in Salzburg in the past few years (last time I was there was 6 months ago when I went there for a day from Berchtesgaden cause it was raining like Hell).

It was was totally fun , the first day there was no snow in Salzburg but there was snow in the mountains nearby so we went to Berchtesgaden (which is about 40 min away by bus, in Germany) and took a boat on the beautiful/fabulous/magnificent Konigsee. OMG Berchtesgaden is the best thing ever, I love it, I wanted to weep like a snotty little child 6 months ago on the day we left. Anyway, so we went on the lake up to this place called St Bartholomae , it was sunny , there was snow and we walked around for a few hours, had something to eat (great foooooooooood, Germany/Austria have great food) and went back to Berchtesgaden and then Salzburg.
Then we spent a day in Salzburg, it was rainy but we walked around, there was no problem. We also went to St Gilgen in the Salzkammergut area but the weather was also bad and gloomy so there was virtually no one around and the lake (Wolfgangsee) was covered in mist/clouds and so were the mountains around (in 2009 I spent a week in St Wolfgang which is close to St Gilgen, also by Wolfgangsee) so I had visited before , it's a beautiful place ,too bad about the weather.
Oh and in the last day it started snowing in the morning, like in the movies, big snowflakes and dense and it was gorgeous so we went to Berchtesgaden and around again, everything looked so pretty it hurt .
Also spent a day in Vienna, my darling Vienna....and I bought some Kasekrainer sausages for home and lots of sweets and a Sacher torte from Demel(honestly, I would have bought EVERYTHING from Demel if I could haha).

In other news, on Monday I started German classes, I want to re-learn German......like a BOSS!

Here are some pictures

OMG!! I LOVE Sam Neill with all that is holy!! haha. I also had a crush on him in Jurassic Park, and then again when I saw him in Bicentennial Man. The man ooooozes sex. Alcatraz is a great show. I've always wanted to go see it.

Great pics! I'm jealous. I've always wanted to go to Austria and see the Von Trapp house :)

OMG I loved him in Bicentennial Man too and in some movie with Nicole Kidman called Dead Calm. He's so hot , too bad he didn't make it as big as others. I read a few years ago that he is in the wine making business too ,in New Zealand I think.

LOL the Von Trapp house haha. I've seen the church in a little village nearby where the real couple got married and the house where they filmed is in the Mirabell gardens in Salzburg I think, I saw it and I recognize the places that appear in the movie, I love that movie so much. Also, Christopher Plummer was so phenomenally hot I can barely take it haha!

Austria and Germany are absolutely beautiful countries !

Dead Calm was a freaky movie. I first saw him with Chevy Chase in Memoirs of an Invisible Man and I was like "Stop the press, who is THAT!!??" He's aged a lot these past years but he's still sexy!

I plan to visit Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Paris one day. It's on my Bucket list hehe.

Oh my, these pics are beautiful! Every one of them!

Hmmm, still giving Alcatraz a try. Not sure if I love this show yet. Perhaps it'll grow on me. I really love Sam Neill too, but for some reason his acting and/or his character is rubbing me the wrong way. I don't know why I feel like this! D:

The pictures can't ever do justice to how beautiful it all looks in real life and when u can look around and enjoy everything, the Alps and the specific architecture in that area are just gorgeous !

Well, I just saw this first episode , I liked it, it wasn't something spectacular but it has been a while since I saw something spectacular (like Walking Dead or Game of Thrones) so it's ok, I like it and I like Sam Neill and Jorge Garcia and that chick + I like that it's in San Francisco instead of the usual New York, LA, Miami or some other place, San Francisco has some nice scenery. I guess there's a chance Sam Neill's character is perhaps evil or partly evil or something so he's being weird and slightly aggressive, I don't mind it.

I think I am not a fan of the main female lead too. Ugh, we'll see. I wasn't a huge fan of other shows at first, but then they grew on me. And Sam Neill's character...For now, he feels a bit too cartoonish. But that's only me, I see that almost everyone loves this show. The concept is exciting and feels fresh, so I know I'll continue to watch it. Jorge Garcia is (still) all around awesome though. :D
